Chanel Blush Horizon De Chanel Review

For the past month or so, every time I walked past the Chanel counter at David Jones or Myer, I'd find myself oogling at this Chanel Blush. It just looked so beautiful.

From my research, this blush was released with Chanel's 2012 spring collection and is a limited edition blush. Normally I would just buy it on the spot, however, $90 AUD is a pretty steep price to pay for a pretty blush when there are many dupes for the colours found in the Chanel Blush De Horizon.

However, I caved in and decided to buy this blush as I had not been able to stop thinking about it ever since I've seen it at the Chanel counter. I can tell that when I love something, I won't be able to stop thinking about it till I get my hands on it, so it was a must have for me. :)

I caught up with my beautiful friend Anna at Highpoint shopping centre for a quick lunch and shop around before I had to go to work. Our first stop was he MAC counter where we enquired about the Nicki Minaj lipstick which has not hit the MAC stores yet. :( We were added to a waiting list so we can go buy it when it comes out.

We then approached the Chanel counter where the lovely sales assistant applied this blush on Anna. It looked so beautiful on her cheeks, and it gave such a natural pink/peachy glow. Just for reference, Anna has slightly warm/tanned skin and it showed up beautifully on her cheeks. She decided to buy it, and even though it was not swatched on me, I decided to buy one as well. I mean, why not? It's limited edition and it's so pretty. :)

The packaging was beautiful. The blush compact came with a mini black velour dust bag with the infamous Chanel logo, and the mini brush also had it's own mini dust bag. Just for the record, normally brushes that come with either powder foundation or blushes are quite scratchy and just crap quality. The brush in the compact feels very nice and soft on the cheeks. It is angled and the bristles are a bit dense so it helps pick up more of the blush.

The blush compact itself has a mirror. The colours contained in the blush are: warm pink, white, plum and peach/coral pink. You can use them all together to create a beautiful sheen or for a pinky cheek colour, just use the top half of the blush, or for a more peachy cheek colour, use the bottom half of the blush.

The sales assistant applies the pink blush on the apples of the cheek and then peach blush on top of the cheeks as a delicate highlight. It looked amazing on Anna.

Overall, I'm very impressed with the blush. I can see myself using this regularly and can't wait to rock it tomorrow when I go out. :)

My blogpost isn't complete without some photos, so below are some photos of the Chanel Blush De Horizon.

I'll update this blog post tomorrow with a photo of me wearing the blush.
